As Inventor 2012 has been shipping in English for a week now, we wanted to give you a small digest of things you should know to get the best experience when installing Product Design Suite or Factory Design Suite.
If your machine has seen Beta3 of Inventor 2012, before installing the official release version, you will need to uninstall the beta of course but also clean-up iLogic after by running this utility.
Also if you have Inventor 2011 and 2012 installed on the same machine and if you uninstall one of the two products, your Frame Analysis calculation will no longer work on the product remaining on the machine.And this is also true for beta versions. To cure this follow the procedure as explained in this technical article.

On VISTA machines, you will have to install a Microsoft hotfix before the Inventor installer will proceed.
After installation, you will have to apply this hot fix to allow iLogic Design Copy to work properly on 64 bit machines.

Concerning the help file, the full help is no longer installed on the local disk. If you want to have access to the full help locally, download it from here.
If you installed the Vault 2012 client, you will also have to download and install the Vault server from this location.
